Tsutomu Matano

Member of the Xuanyuan Award Jury from 2014-2017. Studied mechanical Engineering in Hamburg. After his graduation he started his career at EDAG, where he managed several divisions like simulation and product development. From 2008-2013 he was Managing Director and CEO of EDAG. Since January 2014 he is vice chairman and CTO of EDAG Engineering AG. After leaving EDAG in 2018, he is now the Managing Director at ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH.

Inryul Suh

Former Director of Autron, the electronics subsidiary of Hyundai Motors

Member of the Xuanyuan Award Jury from 2014-2018. Suh is the former Director (retired in 08/2013) of Autron, the electronics subsidiary of Hyundai Motors. During his tenure he presided over a number of B2B initiatives such as the E-Procurement for Hyundai and Kia. He has rich expertise in developing domestic suppliers.

Greg Anderson

Member of the first Xuanyuan Award Jury in 2014. Greg Anderson is an author and consultant. He has been living or either traveling to China for nearly two decades. In 2012 he published the book "Designated Drivers: How China Plans to Dominate the Global Auto Industry". He holds a Ph. D. in political science from the University of California.

Atzuhiko Yamada

Design Director of Changan Auto

Member of the Xuanyuan Award Jury in 2015. Over 30 years’ experience in automotive design field. Former chief designer and manager of the Advance Design Group in Mazda’s design division in Yokohama, Japan. He has had lead involvement in the design development of the Mazda2, Mazda6, and CX-9 projects. In 2018, he joined Changan Automotive as the Director of Passenger Car Design.

Sam Livingstone

Senior Tutor in Vehicle Design at the Royal College of Art in London

Member of the Xuanyuan Award Jury in 2016. Senior Tutor in Vehicle Design at the Royal College of Art (www.rca.ac.uk) in London for over ten years and has delivered lectures in several other academic institutions including Art Centre in Pasadena and Hongik in Seoul. He is a juror on the World Car of The Year Design Award, Transport Design Judge for the iF Design Awards, has presented at numerous conferences around the world.

YU Zhonggao

Deputy Chief Engineer of the NAST (Xiangyang). He has won the second prize of the Automobile Industry Science and Technology Progress Award, the second prize of Hubei Province Science and Technology Progress Award, and the special prize of Dongfeng Science and Technology Progress Award. He has been engaged in testing, evaluation, and benchmarking for a long time, and has accumulated a lot of experience in passive safety and road testing; and has 40+ units/year experience in vehicle evaluation; practiced a lot of vehicle structure knowledge in competitive product benchmarking, and mastered some traceability methods from evaluation phenomena to structure principles; at the same time participated in business user research, model development process, performance setting control, etc.
